How to install desktop battery icon:

battery_default.zip

status_battery_default.zip

hitechv3.zip

1) Backup /usr/share/icons/hicolor/scalable/hildon folder to your computer so you can revert back to default ones.
2) Download hitech_battery.zip and unzip the folder to your computer
3) Place the folder contents(.png’s) on /usr/share/icons/hicolor/scalable/hildon/ and overwrite the current ones.
4) Reboot your phone to see the results

OR

1) Unzip hitech_battery.zip and copy the folder to your N900/Documents
2) Open xterm and type(you need rootsh):

sudo gainroot
mv MyDocs/.documents/battery_scalable/* /usr/share/icons/hicolor/scalable/hildon/
If you want to revert back to normal battery icons, follow the same process after downloading battery_default.zip

How to install status area battery icon:

1) Backup /usr/share/icons/hicolor/48×48/hildon folder to your computer so you can revert back to default ones.
2) Download status_battery.zip and unzip the folder to your computer
3) Place the folder contents(.png’s) on /usr/share/icons/hicolor/48×48/hildon/ and overwrite the current ones.
4) Reboot your phone to see the results

OR

1) Unzip status_battery.zip and copy the folder to your N900/Documents
2) Open xterm and type(you need rootsh):

desktop und statusarea Ordner sind im zip File drin.. und natürlich Anleitung ist Allgemein zitiert.. also die Ornder wo ihr eure Zip Inhalte reinkopiert müssen natürlich angepasst werden.
Edit: hab die Hitech Icons nun auch noch hinzugefügt (desktop + statusarea)
